An RNC officer in Corner Brook is facing weapons charges.

SIRT-NL launched an investigation on November 10, and on Friday Cst. Peter Kelly was charged with careless storage of a firearm, ammunition and a prohibited weapon.

Constable Kelly will appear in court on July 26.
