An Alberta man has been arrested and charged following an armed robbery in Roddickton-Bide Arm Sunday evening.
The RCMP were called to reports of a robbery near a business on Major’s Street around 5 p.m.
They say a man, who had a knife, threatened a victim and demanded cash before fleeing in a light-coloured SUV.
The suspect vehicle was located near the intersection of Major’s Street and the Englee Highway and a 29-year-old Alberta man was arrested without incident.
The accused has been released on strict conditions and will appear in court in October to answer to charges of robbery with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and uttering threats.
