Port aux Basques RCMP are investigating a suspected case of arson near a Newfoundland Power substation near the community last week.
Emergency crews were called to a small brush fire just before 11 p.m. on Friday along the TCH west of the town.
The blaze was extinguished by the Port aux Basques Volunteer Fire Department.
Police believe the fire may have been set intentionally, and are asking anyone with information to contact them at 709-695-2149 or Crime Stoppers.
