Two events being held this fall will receive money from the province in an effort that government says will help grow the tourism season.

Applefest in Port Blandford and the Rocky Harbour Storytelling Festival will each receive $5,000 towards their respective events.

Applefest, which will be held from September 25th to the 27th, celebrates the local apple harvest and features outdoor entertainment and vendors.

The Rocky Harbour Storytelling Festival, meanwhile, will happen from October 15th to the 17th and will showcase local and professional storytellers, artists, and musicians.
