Truckers across the province are uniting in tribute to one of their own who died in a horrific crash in central Newfoundland earlier this week.
Truckers are keeping the lights on their rigs on in memory of 47-year-old Draper Bemister who passed away early Tuesday morning when the rig he was driving collided with another tractor trailer and caught fire.
Members of the NL Truckers Facebook page are posting pictures of their lights in tribute to a fellow driver described as “a wonderful person gone way too soon.”
The cause of the collision, which forced a lengthy closure of the Trans Canada Highway, is under investigation.
