Emergency room services at six separate health centres in central Newfoundland are currently being provided virtually.

Affected health care centres include those in Buchans, Baie Verte, Harbour Breton, New-Wes-Valley, Springdale and Lewisporte.

NLHS say those who require emergency services can proceed to the ER as usual where they will be assessed and transferred to another hospital if necessary.

Those who require an ambulance should call 911.
