The federal government has awarded a $121.6 million contract for the construction of the new CRA building in St. John’s to Pomerleau Incorporated.
The new building will be built at 80 Kelsey Drive, between the Home Depot and Volkswagen.
The contract includes a provision to prioritize Canadian supplies and materials.

Construction, which begins this summer, is expected to be completed in 2029.
In the meantime, no plans have yet been announced for the existing taxation centre on Empire Avenue which, according to the federal government, requires extensive repairs and upgrades.
