A major traffic snarl up in the capital city’s east end is about to undergo some more changes heading into September.
Work at the new roundabout at the intersection of Portugal Cove Road, Major’s Path and Airport Heights Drive continues, and the traffic lights at the intersection will soon be removed and the roundabout will be opened.
The work will be carried out during the overnight hours on a single night sometime between September 10th and the 17th.

Drivers will be given advance notice of the work once the schedule is set.
The area will remain an active construction zone and drivers are asked to follow all signs and directions from flags people at the site.
The capital city says construction work is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
