The Burin Peninsula Highway has been fully reopened after a moose-vehicle collision between Red Harbour and the Burin Peninsula Regional Service Board.
There is no immediate word on injuries.
RCMP warn that they have responded to at least 13 reports of moose on or near provincial roadways in the last 24 hours.
They’re asking drivers to slow down as they hit the roads this long weekend and keep a close eye out for moose.

Traffic on the Burin Peninsula Highway is being held up in both directions between Red Harbour and the Burin Peninsula Regional Service Board office following a moose-vehicle collision.
Callers to the VOCM Newsroom say traffic is backed up significantly.
