A single-vehicle crash on the Burin Peninsula Sunday afternoon claimed the life of a 75-year-old woman.

RCMP were called about the crash just south of Terrenceville before noon on Sunday.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Another occupant was sent to hospital with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing. No further details will be released at this time.
