The Premier is remembering a former assistant clerk of the House of Assembly, Elizabeth Joanne Murphy, for her “lifetime of service, leadership and achievement.”
Murphy passed away last week at the age of 83.
She worked for more than 40 years in the House of Assembly, providing what Premier Tony Wakeham calls “steady guidance, expertise, and dedication” in support of the democratic process.
Wakeham says Murphy will also be remembered for her contributions to women’s golf, and her advocacy for greater opportunities for women in the sport.
