The city of St. John’s is reviewing a compliant received about an apartment building in the downtown that’s been the focus of a number of serious incidents in recent years.
Two people were arrested in connection with a shooting at Harbour View Apartments on Brazil Street in May of 2025, and a fire occurred at the building in 2023.
Police have been called to the Brazil Street area numerous times in recent months.
The city says the complaint is being investigated and has “potential to become a legal matter.”
Because of that, the city cannot provide further comment.
