The numbers are in and the Polka Dot Trot fundraiser has enjoyed a banner year.
This was the first time that the event was staged in two locations: St. John’s and Corner Brook.
The total amount raised to help cancer patients and their families across the province was $737,000. More than 1,800 participants and volunteers pitched in.
Kelly Reid, the CEO of the Cancer Care Foundation, says the money will go to the four cancer centres in the province: St. John’s, Gander, Grand Falls-Windsor and Corner Brook.
