Netflix has officially released its Newfoundland-based series Below.
The show, starring actor Josh Hartnett, tells the story of a fisherman who is haunted by a mysterious force that claimed his father’s life.

According to Hospitality NL, the show is said to have sparked a major economic and tourism boom for the province, including a billboard in Times Square earlier this month.
Watch parties for the series are growing across the province, including at the Spirit of Newfoundland tonight at 5:30.
