There are still some workers who have not been paid from last fall’s federal election.

That’s from Elections Canada, who were responding to reports that several workers from this province are still unpaid.

In a statement to VOCM News, Elections Canada says the “vast majority” of workers have been paid, and it is only those involved in “exceptional cases” where additional steps are needed that have not yet received their money.

As an example, the organization says these could be situations where a signature was missing off a time sheet or where the person’s direct deposit information was incorrect.

Elections Canada notes they are working to resolve such cases and get the workers paid.
