The provincial government has announced one new case of COVID-19 in the Eastern Health region.
Contact tracing into the new case is underway by public health. That brings the total number of cases to 258 with 36 active cases.
As of Sunday, five people are in hospital, two of those are in ICU.
219 people have now recovered and 7,477 have been tested.
The regional breakdown of cases is 240 in the Eastern Health region; 8 in Central Health; 6 in Labrador-Grenfell Health; and 4 in the Western Health region.
One new case was also announced on Saturday after a week straight with no cases.
Dr. Proton Rahman—a clinical scientist and Professor of Medicine at Memorial University will join the panel again on Monday to lay out updated projection models.
