A repeat offender owing more than $11,000 in fines will have to appear before the courts this September.
On June 24, RCMP pulled over a man driving near Deer Lake as a follow-up to a public tip. The officer discovered that the 51-year-old man from Reidville was without a driver’s licence, and the vehicle he was driving was uninsured. He was charged, and the vehicle was impounded.
It turns out he carries a similar record from an incident in January, 2019, when he was caught driving without a licence and insurance.
He was handed a court date this September to answer to the outstanding fines and newly-laid charges.
