The getaway driver in an armed robbery in Kelligrews three years ago has been sentenced to five years in prison. While he did not go into Green’s Pharamcy, 63-year-old Leonard Clarke was waiting in a white van in a gravel parking lot nearby.
The robber jumped into the van with a bag containing narcotics and cash.
Chief Justice Raymond Whalen saw no legal differences in the actions of Clarke and the man who went into the store. Clarke was sentenced to five years minus a little over a month for time served.
