The Canada Border Services Agency is not providing any information on two men removed from a Norwegian pleasure craft that arrived unannounced in Makkovik earlier this week.
The men were arrested and brought to Happy Valley-Goose Bay.
They could be facing fines of up to $5,000 if found in violation of Canadian bans on foreign craft in northern ports.
The ban was put in place to protect vulnerable northern communities from COVID-19.
The CBSA says it does not provide comment or information on specific situations, and no further details will be made available.
