Library services are open in the province, even if the library building itself is not open to the public.
Emma Craig is a regional librarian and says there’s been a significant increase in the use of libraries in recent months.
She says a lot of people have been using their curbside service, and they’re encouraging people to pick up – and return library materials.
The libraries are offering fine-free book returns for any materials and books held over the COVID-19 period.
Craig says patrons are encouraged to browse their online catalogue and set up a time and date for pickup.
All returned materials will be quarantined for 72 hours for public health reasons.
