A company based out of Clarenville is the recipient of a $262,500 grant from the Provincial Government.
SubC Control Ltd. is an ocean technology company that produces technology and video equipment for subsea markets, including the offshore oil industry.
Industry and Innovation Minister Bernard Davis says the project has the potential to further the province’s technological capabilities, and play a role in strengthening the aquaculture and ocean tech sectors.
Chad Collett, founder and CEO of SubC, says the grant will also help the company diversify into new markets—such as offshore wind, aquaculture, and defense.
SubC is one of seven companies worldwide that develops an underwater camera system that collects ultra-high resolution video footage and image data.
