The weather for this weekend is looking less than ideal for the eastern half of the province, but things are set to pick up big time for the civic holiday on Monday.
Environment Canada meteorologist Rob Carrol says temperatures will be between 18 and 20 degrees over the next few days with off-and-on drizzle.
He says things will gradually improve on Sunday with some sunshine beginning to peek through the clouds, but the real high point will be Monday, which is a civic holiday for many and a makeshift Regatta Day in St. John’s.
Carrol is forecasting a sunny day with temperatures in the mid to upper 20s.
