Eligible residents in the five Labrador Inuit communities will start receiving the Moderna vaccine the second week of January.
The Nunatsiavut Government says they are beginning to implement a plan that will see the vaccination process begin on January 11th.
The first shipment of the vaccine is expected to arrive in Happy Valley-Goose Bay in the coming days. Then, it will be transported via specialized containers called Credo Cubs to each of the communities.
The vaccine will be administered in one community at a time. More details will be released about the process in the coming weeks.
