Two best friends are the province’s newest millionaires.
Doug Ellsworth and Lawrence Russell, who have been best friends for over three decades, won $15.5-million from the August 27th Lotto 6/49 draw.
The numbers that the men used are significant as well, as they used a series of family birth dates.

Both men say their priorities with the money will be to help family and friends, as well as give to charity. However, they both also have some personal goals to tend to.
With his share of the money, Russell plans on buying a new truck and RV, which he will use to travel the country.
Ellsworth also plans on buying a new vehicle, building a custom home, and getting together with family he hasn’t seen because of the pandemic.
With tears in his eyes, Ellsworth describes how he hasn’t seen his family in three years, so he is planning a family reunion.
