Monday was the hottest day in metro in over two years. The last time it was warmer was August 1, 2018.
Rodney Barney, a meteorologist with Environment Canada, says Monday was the warmest August 3rd on record in metro with a temperature of 28.6 degrees.
That broke the previous mark for August 3rd of 27.9 in 2014. Record-keeping began in 1942.
