A man was arrested in downtown St. John’s early Sunday morning after assaulting a city taxi driver.
At 3:15 a.m., RNC responded to a call that a passenger of a cab had assaulted the driver in the area of New Gower Street.
Police located the 23-year-old man and arrested him.
Charges are pending for the assault as well as court order breaches.
He will appear in court at a later date.
