The president of the Newfoundland and Labrador Teachers’ Association is watching the COVID-19 situation in New Brunswick and is urging against complacency in this province.
New Brunswick reported six new cases of the virus yesterday and declared an outbreak at a long-term care home. As well, positive COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in several schools in New Brunswick.
Dean Ingram says he has been speaking with his counterparts across the country about the situation which he believes serves as a reminder as to why people need to stay diligent.
He says as long as we closely adhere to public health measures, Newfoundland and Labrador will remain in a good place COVID-wise.
