Newfoundland and Labrador won’t be leaving the Atlantic Bubble in the near future.
There are no new cases of COVID-19 in this province today—however, New Brunswick continues to battle with a number of outbreaks.
At today’s COVID-19 briefing, Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Janice Fitzgerald said that while the province is monitoring the current situation in New Brunswick, those cases are regional and there is currently no evidence to support Newfoundland and Labrador separating from the Atlantic Bubble.
In terms of reintroducing travel restrictions on travellers from New Brunswick, Fitzgerald explains that the outbreaks remain regional and that community spread would be required for action to be taken.
