There’s a different look to the St. John’s International Women’s Film Festival this year, but that is not putting a halt to the celebrations for the festival’s 31st run.
The events officially get underway today. While there’s no red carpet this year, Executive Director Jenn Brown jokes that there is a much cozier dress code.
SJIWFF has shifted this year’s event to a virtual platform, which means attendees will be able to take in everything the festival has to offer from the comfort of their own homes.
Brown says they’ve upped the number of films and panels this year to make up for lost opportunities due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Whether you’d like to space out your viewings or binge-watch them instead, Brown says there’s something for everyone.
