No more cases of COVID-19 have been identified in the Harbour Breton area with over 500 people recently tested for the virus.
The south coast town and the surrounding area have been on high alert after three recent cases linked to the local health centre with no known source identified.
Testing is continuing in the community, but Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Janice Fitzgerald says there is no evidence of widespread community transmission to-date.
That doesn’t mean public health officials have wrapped up their investigation in the town.
Dr. Fitzgerald says they’re still following up on a few leads, but she expects that work to clew up in the coming days.
