Premier Andrew Furey says an extended Christmas holiday is not expected despite the fact that students will be sent home with their learning materials at the end of the week.
The English School District is calling it a proactive move given how quickly things can change.
Premier Furey says right now there are no plans to extend the Christmas break.
He calls it “prudent and responsible” given what they’ve seen in other jurisdictions. Students are scheduled to return to class January 4th.
