A man has been convicted of break and enter and robbery after an unusual incident in St. John’s.
Anthony Hutchings broke into a residence on Neptune Road in August 2019, and stole a ring off a finger of one of the occupants. It had sentimental value as the ring was gifted to him by his father.
Hutchings was one of three men who broke into the apartment. In addition to the ring, a package of lighters was stolen.
The case was heard in November and Justice Donald Burrage rendered his decision on Monday.
