Two young people are in trouble with the law after they were caught dangerously operating ATVs in front of a school in Bay Roberts.

Around 1:15 p.m. RCMP were called to Amalgamated Academy following reports of two ATVs doing wheelies in front of the school.

Students were outside on their lunch break at the time.

Police located the two drivers a short while later parked on the side of the road.

Both were ticketed, and one had their machine seized as they had recently received numerous warnings for ATV offences.

The investigation is continuing, and police are assessing possible charges against the parents.
