A suspended driver who owes over $18,000 in fines will have to appear before the courts following a traffic stop earlier this week.

It happened around 8:00 p.m. on Monday. RCMP set out to pull over the 35-year-old Brigus man who they knew was prohibited from driving.

On top of the hefty sum of fines, and not having a valid licence, police discovered that the vehicle he was driving was uninsured.

He is now compelled to attend court and answer to the new series of charges.
