A 21-year-old man died in a single-vehicle crash early Friday morning in the Burin Peninsula community of Rushoon.
The victim was a passenger in the vehicle.
The 20-year-old driver was taken to hospital for treatment and is being investigated for possible impaired driving, according to police.
The crash caused closure of the road while emergency crews responded to the scene.
Meanwhile, a 58-year-old man was killed in a single-vehicle crash on the Connaigre Peninsula Wednesday night.
Harbour Breton RCMP responded to reports of a crash on the highway near the community of Boxey around 8:40 p.m.
The vehicle left the road and struck a rock wall. The cause is under investigation.
