A 20-year-old man has been charged with impaired driving after crashing his vehicle in Grand Falls-Windsor early Saturday morning.
RCMP were contacted around 2:00 o’clock that morning by a driver who indicated he needed a tow truck after crashing his vehicle.
When police arrived, the driver was gone, but officers did notice empty alcohol containers nearby.
They located the 20-year-old, who showed signs of impairment, at a home nearby and took him into custody.
He provided breath samples at the detachment that were more than twice the legal limit.
He was charged with impaired and released to appear in court in June.
