The City of St. John’s, which is staring down a $13-million deficit, wants to see more public input on the budget.
Response was brisk when the budget page was launched in July, but it has since waned.
Councillor Shawn Skinner says they’re going to have to make some tough decisions in the fall and they would like to hear from as many people as possible. For example, should the city expand the number of sidewalks earmarked for snow and ice control?
Councillor Skinner says you can find all the information you need on the budget page such as how much it would cost and how that would impact taxation.
