A woman was arrested after several cars were struck in a St. John’s parking lot Thursday night. The incident happened at a lot on Blackmarsh Road shortly before 8 p.m. The 55-year-old was charged with impaired driving by drugs after refusing to provide a breath sample. She was held for court this morning.
In a separate incident, a 19-year-old woman was arrested for impaired after an accident in the area of Cookstown Road around 7:30 p.m. The driver’s vehicle was impounded and she was held for court.
Meanwhile, a 48-year-old woman was arrested just after midnight for impaired driving. The RNC got a call about a suspected drunk driver on Pitts Memorial Drive. They located the woman, who is from out-of-province, and the vehicle in the Fowler’s Road area of Conception Bay South.
Still on our roads, a 32-year-old man was stopped on Pitts Memorial at 3:30 a.m. this morning. The RNC discovered that he owes $13,000 in fines. He was ticketed for driving while suspended. The vehicle was impounded.
