The promoter behind the Iceberg Alley Performance Tent says the pent-up demand for live music has been evident in the lead-up to this year’s event.
The concert series was one of the first large-scale events to be announced as the province started reopening from the pandemic.
The tent is currently being erected on the shores of Quidi Vidi Lake.
Promoter John Steele jokes “brute force and ignorance” put the first Iceberg Alley performance tent together, but they have become much more efficient in setting things up.
Steele says ticket sales have been going very well. He says people realize how much they’ve missed live music over the course of the pandemic and that there’s excitement and anticipation in the air.
