Charges have been laid in connection with an incident that claimed the life of a worker at a construction site in Stephenville nearly two years ago.
The worker suffered fatal injuries on August 27, 2019 while painting piping near the ceiling of a building under construction.
An investigation has led to four charges under the Occupational Health and Safety Act against Pomerleau.
They include failure to ensure the health, safety and welfare of the company’s workers, and failure to provide the necessary instruction, training, and supervision.
First appearance is scheduled for September 20 at Provincial Court in Stephenville.
