A St. John’s family is overwhelmed with the support they’ve received at a very difficult time.

47-year-old Margo Hussey was diagnosed with Stage 4 Adenocarcinoma, a form of stomach cancer, earlier this month.

The disease, which is hard to detect, is not curable but can be managed with chemotherapy and pain medication, which can be very expensive.

Hussey had to give up her casual position in the offshore following the diagnosis, and does not have medical insurance.

Her daughter Tiana Jackson launched a GoFundMe page to help her mom and it has already raised over $18,000 in just a few days. She says they were overwhelmed by the response.
