Western Health says the recent case in that area, coupled with a fourth wave seen in many parts of Canada, is a reminder of the importance of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
The Health authority says a high vaccination rate will help protect both individuals and communities from the virus.
Walk-in and pop-up clinics are available and vaccines can also be administered at clinics, participating pharmacies and doctor’s offices.
Those who have symptoms of COVID-19 are being urged to stay home and call for testing.
