The province’s first fully electric car show is going ahead this weekend.
The show, being held in conjunction with National Drive Electric Week, will feature different brands and models of electric cars – some privately-owned and others dealer-owned.
Owners will be on hand to answer questions about their cars.
Jon Seary of Drive Electric NL says the next vehicle for many families will likely be electric.
He says there are currently about 250 such vehicles in the province.
Charging stations are popping up across the province, but he says most people will do the bulk of their charging at home.
He says the vehicles are efficient.
If you had to do a long trip to Bull Arm or Long Harbour, you now have several options with chargers at Galway, Holyrood, Goobies and so on.
The show is on Saturday from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm at the Avalon Mall parking garage.
