The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary says the investigation continues into a homicide in the Waterford Valley in late May.
The body of 68-year-old Michael King was discovered along a wooded trail between Topsail Road and Waterford Bridge Road on May 30.
Police would offer no comment on reports that a suspect has been identified in the ongoing investigation, only to say that the case is active.
In June, the RNC released surveillance images of vehicles of interest captured in the general area.
They are asking anyone with information that could be related to the case to contact them or report it anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
