A 56-year-old man injured in a house fire in St. John’s has succumbed to his injuries.
Just after 2:30 Sunday morning, St. John’s Regional Fire Department and the RNC responded to a fire in a basement apartment on Cabot Street.
A man was taken to hospital from the scene in critical condition.
The RNC have confirmed that the man was pronounced dead while at the hospital.
The cause of the fire is not believed to be suspicious.
