A happy ending last night to the search for a hunter reported overdue in Central Newfoundland.

The Exploits Ground Search and Rescue team, a helicopter from the 103 Search and Rescue Squadron, Springdale RCMP and a dog handler from the Grand Falls-Windsor detachment were involved in the search.

The hunter was located in an area near Springdale.
