Businesses and facilities do not have to continually scan frequent visitors after they have done so often enough so that they know their vaccine status.
It’s one of the many questions which government officials have been fielding in the early days of the NL Vaxxpass.
The minister of Service NL and Digital Government, Sarah Stoodley, says it’s not necessary to scan and proof each and every time a person goes through.
She says she has heard from many business owners with regular clients and visitors, who only need to be scanned once.
She did, however, stress the importance of keeping track of who was scanned and when, citing the potential for a change in public health regulations in the future.
