The Coast Guard is in contact with the families of two missing men after their aluminum boat was found overturned about 3 km off Black Island in Notre Dame Bay mid-day yesterday.
The belongings of the men, ages 20 and 30 were discovered with the boat.
The men launched their boat on Saturday from Lawrence Harbour, and were reported overdue late Sunday afternoon.
The Coast Guard vessel Alfred Needler and an RCAF aircraft are on scene as well as Coast Guard auxiliary vessels, a Cormorant Helicopter and C-130 Hercules.
