A new Commanding Officer has been named for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in Newfoundland and Labrador.
Assistant Commissioner Jennifer Ebert takes command of the RCMP following the departure of Ches Parsons back in August.
Ebert, a native of London, Ontario, has been a member of the RCMP since 1997.
She has served in positions all over the country, most recently serving as Commanding Officer for Prince Edward Island.
Justice Minister John Hogan welcomes Ebert to the province, and looks forward to working with her to ensure that the province is safe.
