The Newfoundland Growlers earned their sixth straight victory on the road last night, besting the Reading Royals with a 2-1 overtime win.
Marcus Power opened the scoring for the Growlers just 21 seconds into the first period.
St. John’s native Zach O’Brien notched his tenth assist of the season, leading the team in points.
Jeremy McKenna scored the overtime winner, while goaltender Evan Cormier made 35 saves.
The Growlers continue their road trip on November 24th, squaring off with the Adirondack Thunder.
